What this means to you is that these bags are 100% composable in commercial facilities that accept pet waste. Our bags cannot be used in a backyard compost. Currently only some composting facilities are accepting pet waste but the number of these facilities are growing due to demand. Please contact your local waste management to see if it is accepted where you live. Once composted (typically 3-6 months) the remaining material can be used as fertilizer for non food plants, trees and more. It is a great way to live greener by using products made from renewable resources.
The bags are also unscented making them more hypoallergenic with the added benefit of fewer chemicals being added to the environment.
